An old wooden Dan Heddle Pulley from Liberia. These pulleys were used to run thread from the top to bottom of looms, and to provide distraction and inspiration to the weaver. 
 
An abstracted human face with the "legs" completing the torso. Circa late 19th/ early 20th Century. Glossy patina from use. On a custom museum stand.
