A two page document in Braille "PEACE DECLARATION read by Mayor T. Watanabe, Hiroshima, Japan, August 6, 1956" This document was amongst the papers belonging to Helen Keller, social activist and educator, (1880-1968) and in her home in Easton, Connecticut. Good condition. On heavy parchment style paper. Two pages lightly bound by soft wool or other yarn. Slight creasing at corners. Additional documentation concerning the provenance, and a complete translation of the Braille text, will be provided to the purchaser. Historic and desirable.
